The UBC China Forum intends to create the most influential student-run China-Canada conference in Western Canada and acts as a platform for students, businesses, and professionals to connect and bridge the communication between the two countries. With our vision of seeing the world from UBC, the UBC BizChina team is excited and honoured to announce that we will host the third iteration of the UBC China Forum in March 2023. This year's 2023 UBC China Forum theme, "Breakthrough", is all about examining the trends of post-pandemic business developments, opportunities and potential challenges moving ahead in future years through meaningful discussions, in addition to setting new standards for cross-cultural business cooperation between the two nations and the entire Asia-Pacific region.

2019 UBC China Forum: New Generation, New Opportunities In 2019, UBC BizChina hosted the first-ever UBC China Forum on the theme "New Generation, New Opportunities". The Forum brought together 27 Chinese and Canadian industry leaders, 42 representatives from multinational corporations, and around 1200 attendees across Canada at the Vancouver Convention Centre for two days. Activities from the two days included interactive speeches and panel discussions from distinguished business leaders, a venture capital competition, a career fair, and themed seminars. Our first Forum was a trending topic online across our 7 social media platforms and various professional media outlets, receiving over 11.1 million views on Weibo alone! The four key topics discussed were Finance and Capital Investment, Technology Applications, Consumer Life Services, as well as Media and Entertainment.
2021 UBC China Forum: Resilience and Reinvention Due to the impact of COVID-19, the 2021 UBC China Forum was shifted to a four-day conference, held entirely online in March and live-streamed worldwide via numerous platforms. The theme for the 2021 UBC China Forum was "Resilience and Reinvention" and dived into the 4 topics of E-commerce, Technology, Ventures, and International Relations. With over 20 speakers and 4 panels, we welcomed 34,532 attendees worldwide to tune in online and learn from the internationally renowned leaders from China and Canada to discuss the present and future of China’s socio-economic development, and its interaction with Canada in a post-pandemic world.
